New Delhi: A 37-year-old man, allegedly involved in around 25 cases, was arrested in north Delhi with police today claiming that they recovered four cars he allegedly stole along with his associates.
The arrested has been identified as Mohd Nisar, who hails from Meerut in UP. Four cars and a country-made pistol were recovered from him, S S Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said.
Nisar was apprehended from near Nigam Bodh Ghat yesterday, he said.
During interrogation, Yadav claimed, he told police that he is running his gang in association with his partner Zahoor.
Nisar told police that he was arrested in 2006 by South District police and at that time also, stolen cars were recovered by them at his instance.
"After that he changed his criminal trade and started supplying smack in Delhi but was again apprehended by South-East District police," Yadav said.
